Accommodation Rating Criteria

Choosing a place to stay can make or break your whole trip. That’s why I created this accommodation rating system—to help you understand exactly how I evaluate hotels, resorts, hostels, and everything in between.

Every stay gets a 1–10 score, based on actual experience, not just how cute the lobby is.

What I Consider When Rating Accommodations

1. Comfort & Cleanliness
Is the room clean, comfy, and well-maintained? Does it feel like a restful space or does it smell like broken dreams?

2. Service & Hospitality
Were the staff warm and attentive? Or were they giving me “why are you here” energy?

3. Amenities & Facilities
Pool, gym, café, fast Wi-Fi, functioning elevators—these matter more than you think.

4. Location
Close to food? Near tourist spots? Easy to book rides? I consider all of that.

5. Value for Money
If I'm paying premium, it better feel premium

My Accomodation Rating Guide

10 – Heavenly: I want to live here. Perfection.
9 – Fantastic: Excellent stay with minor room for improvement.
8 – Very Comfortable: Highly enjoyable; I’d return.
7 – Good Stay: Solid experience, minor flaws.
6 – Fair: Decent but not impressive.
5 – Average: Gets the job done, nothing more.
4 – Disappointing: Many areas need work.
3 – Subpar: Not worth the price.
2 – Poor: Regrettable stay.
1 – Avoid: Don’t do this to yourself.

Transparency Note: If I’m invited or hosted by a hotel, I’ll clearly mention it. But my rating will always reflect the real experience—never influenced.
